Welcome, this is the Consumer Directed Community Supports Orientation Training. This training is going to give you the overview of Consumer Directed Community Services, or CDCS, which is one of the self-directed options in Dakota County. This training is required before you are able to go onto a waiver through Dakota County. It is intended to teach you about CDCS required parameters, and give you the framework of how the grant works so that you can write your individualized support plan called a Consumer Support Plan, (CSP), and accompanying budget, (Expenditure Plan).
This training is available if you aren’t able to attend the CDCS Orientation given once a month at the Northern Service Center in Dakota County. You may want to set yourself up the training video is lengthy; however you can stop and if you need to exit you can come and forward back to the area where you left off and continue from there. On this screen you will see that there is a link to a notes handout. I would suggest you print out the handout so can take notes or write down the questions you may have for later, when you talk with your social worker. Also, you can stop the training at any point and then go back to where you need to by forwarding with the forward arrow.
